Wine for Asia 2011 has designed an impactful programme that aims to attract a good representation of Asian wine importers and distributors. WFA is keen on both leading companies as well as new comers to the wine industry.

Australian Wine Selection Master Class
“Award-winning Australian Wines” for Asian Cuisine
By the Champions of Australian Boutique Wineries

The aim of the Wine Selection Master Class is to provide an opportunity to the participants to taste a selection of Australian wines which are both award-winning and recognised for their regional wine style expressions. Through this class, we will illustrate why Australian wines are good pairing partners for Asian cuisine. Small bites are provided to prove certain pairing principles. This class will be useful for wine selection for Asian cuisine restaurants.

“The Unheard Story of Italian Wines”
By Antonio Boco - ‘The Best Young Journalist for Italian wine’ by the Association of Grand Cru Italy in 2010

This Master Class aims to bring the participants on a fascinating journey through the key Italian wine regions, shedding light on how wine and the social fabric of Italy are closely intertwined. A subject as complex as Italian wines will turn into a fascinating story to be shared. Unknown Italian varietals will become an intimacy to be enjoyed!

Gambero Rosso is a premier wine and F&B classification organisation in Italy and has been a reference point for the highest quality food and wine in Italy and abroad. This tasting will feature an exclusive group of about 50 wine producers in Italy, each of them offering for the very first time in Asia a complete range of sparkling, red, white, rose & dessert wines.

Speaker: Ms Nora Sperling Thiels, the owner of Delheim vineyard in Stellenbosch with history that dates back to 1699.

Hubblybubblywines is a pan-African wine and spirit specialist.  They represent a selection of multi-award wines, organic wines, pink ports, grappas and brandies.

Chilean Award-Winning Wine Master Class – Showcasing the Finest from Chile

This master class aims to update participants on the progress of quality wines from Chile. Showcasing some of the finest internationally awarded wines, these wines are out to make an impression to the market that premium wines from Chile are on the rise! Will the Cabernet Sauvignon be better than the Syrah of Chile? Or will we see a surprise favorite at this master class? Vinosity Singapore 2011

Wine Style Asia Award 2011
The annual Wine Style Asia Award is a prestigious award which has gained much recognition from wine associations and experts since its inception. Labels who have won this award have gained market interest. With a panel comprising an international and regional mix of influential wine personalities, its stringent judging system ensures only top quality wines receive the sought-after award.

F&B Industry Forum
Singapore has seen rapid developments of the F&B Industry in the past 5 years. The public-private sector partnership has been instrumental in transforming the city state into an emerging F&B Hub for the region. This forum brings together a panel of eminent industry players to share thier personal experiences during these developments. This tour has for objectives to give the participants an insight into the latest F&B concepts in Singapore.

The Vini Challenge
A spin-off from the industry’s well-loved innovative game Vini Casino, the Vini Challenge is a wine challenge designed to instill fun and excitement in the exploration of the world of wine. Representatives from F&B schools, institutions and foreign associations, will pit against one another in their wine skills and guts. The finals of the Challenge will be held in the week of Wine For Asia 2011.

Gourmet Wine Dinner Presentations
A series of exclusive wine dinners will be organised by signature F&B outlets to bring you on a journey of wine and food pairing. Participants will learn how various country wines can be paired with popular Asian delights.
